Over the past two weeks, I have made progress on many ongoing projects and have dove into some new waters with Ulliman Schutte. The team and I have been putting together some proposals for two jobs, Wilmington and Paddy's Run. My main responsibility for these jobs have been putting together the tabs and cover designs, which consists of using InDesign and gathering the proper information and pictures from the shared hard drive. While I have done tabs and covers before for other jobs, I was also tasked with filling out some bid forms. These bid forms gather information from general company info to past jobs, including project managers, design partners, and more. While these bid forms may seem repetitive, they require attention to detail and many revisions before turning them in. I edit these forms using Adobe Acrobat DC.

I have also been adding my edits to their existing library for proposals. My task is to read through the content that they pull from for proposals and narratives, and then to proofread, format, and make the document flow as best I can. This task requires many revisions before I move on to the next, and so far I have completed about 15 documents in the library.

The next task that I have been tackling is finding a customizable water bottle to hand out at conferences. While our previous model is a sporty Under Armour bottle, we wanted something that was updated and sturdier. I scoured some websites for some samples within our price range, and settled on a couple that I thought would work well. The samples ranged from eco-friendly to Hydro Flask- esque bottles, and while the search still continues, the options are being tested and narrowed down over the next couple of weeks.

The last big project I have been working on is editing the recruitment brochure to hand out at conferences. These edits have been a slow but steady process, and so far the brochure looks much better than it did before. While there are still many edits and changes to make, the process has been fun and I have learned a lot more through Adobe InDesign while exercising my creativity.

I also met with my career coach and advisor this past week, Brian. We had a check-in chat and he helped me to form some next steps, such as certain certifications to chase and other lessons to look into. He also helped me to consider some resume points I could add in the future, as well as some other job options to look into to advance my career and find something that I would really want to do. With these steps in place, I hope to learn even more to help advance my skills in both career-related and school-related scenarios.
