The final countdown - my last week at ADM! Earlier today I had the great opportunity of presenting in person to my team and other at the Erlanger, KY location and it could not have gone better. I was able to cover over my main projects this summer while showcasing how my internship this summer went.


I wanted to showcase/explain a few more of my projects in depth in this post. My projects over the summer included:

Protein Product Page Optimization on ADM.com

Goal: Optimize and update webpages (Pea Protein, Protein Systems, Soy, Wheat) to improve consumer experience and emphasize webpage interaction and downloads


Actions:

  • Optimized titles and subtitles

  • Transformed blocks of text into visual elements

  • Increased number of images for product applications

  • Ensured appropriate number of gated content

Learnings:

  • SEO best practices

  • ADM Pea Protein Portfolio

  • Finetuning and condensing copy for different regions and customers

Next Steps and Recommendations:

  • Implement Audits for Soy, Wheat webpages

  • Finish A/B testing for Pea and Protein Systems

  • Streamline ADM Customer Experience and build customer trust

Alternative Protein in Pet Food

Goal: Expand Protein Sales Into New Channels By Creating Value Propositions and Positioning for Championing Protein in Pet Food


Actions:

  • Researched and Met with Pet Team (Technical Sales, CD&D, S&T, Marketing), Global Customer Accelerator Team, Protein Team (Marketing, S&T, Commercial)

  • Created Presentation, Design, and Copy Compiling and Editing

  • Presented Findings to Global Pet Food CD&D Team

Global Protein Competitive Analysis

Goal: ADM to be the Global Protein Nutrition Solutions Leader by mapping competitors and updating ADM’s Global Protein Competitive positioning


Actions:

  • Research including Annual Reports, Recent News and M&A activity, Financial Statements

  • Informal Interviews with ADM experts to mine Industry Insights

  • Mapped ADM’s competitive position for proteins in the market by leveraging and updating previous work

Learnings:

  • Plant Protein Industry findings

  • Global, Pea, and Chinese Competitor Information

  • Regional Breakdown of Global Competitors

  • Deep Dive into Individual Competitors (strengths, weaknesses, recent news, financials, etc.)

Next Steps and Recommendations:

  • Use Information as a Tool to analyze industry

  • Knowledge sharing throughout ADM across Soy, Pea, Wheat, etc.

  • Incorporate knowledge into future business planning

Global Savory I2L Ideation Support

Goal: Showcase ADM’s Proactive Innovation to Customers by Supporting Global Savory I2L Ideation Kickoff


Actions:

  • Created Mural Collaboration Board, Analyzed Sales Survey Data, and Lead Marketing Training for Ease of Facilitation

  • Presented and Captured Ideation while supporting technically in breakout rooms, Mural facilitation, etc.

  • Analyzed Mural board data to help identify 2024 Global Platforms

Learnings:

  • Innovation Processes at a Fortune 50 Company

  • Leadership in facilitation and training

  • 2024 Global Concept Ideas

  • Data gathering, analysis

Next Steps and Recommendations:

  • Provide data analysis to Global Savory I2L LT
