OneWater Ohio was from July 26-July 29, and I was able to attend on the 26th and 28th as an exhibitor. I helped set up the booth and tear down, as well as learn from other booths about the water and wastewater industries. It was super cool to learn and meet new people at the conference, as well as experience an in-person event for the first time since COVID-19 hit. I also was able to see some of my work "in action" at our Mill Creek jobsite, where a tour featuring some posters I made as a visual aid as well as some water bottle koozies I had ordered were in use.
After the conference chaos, I was able to dive into make some graphics for the team, as well as implementing edits and helping whenever I can. In our proposals, we often use graphics to help with aesthetics, so I helped over the past couple of weeks in making specific graphics to fit our sections' content. Some of these graphics are below:
I make these graphics in Photoshop, and they are normally quick, spontaneous projects.
Another graphic that I have worked on recently is "The Marketing Machine" and accompanying art. These pieces are meant to be fun and inviting, as they are used in the New Hire Orientation to explain each team member and their role. While I didn't create the original design of this art, I was responsible for editing the team members to look more like themselves as they are now, as well as adding in the new team members who have joined since the graphic was last updated. Below, I added in my coworker in place of a past employee, as well as updating her in "The Marketing Machine" graphic.
A large part of my role at Ulliman Schutte recently has been researching and ordering both swag and internal gifts. I often work with logos and positioning them in an attractive format. Below is a spread that I made for some Polo shirts that we are going to order for US and our partner.

I have also been researching different types of water bottles that we can give away at conferences and recruitment fairs. My journey has been all over the place, but some of my research is below on how I found pricing, vendors, styles, and all aspects of this process.
Along with this, I was tasked with finding a biodegradable, disposable coffee cup for our offices to replace a less environmentally-friendly option. This journey was also a lengthy one, but we have settled on purchasing reusable coffee cups, which will cut down on waste overall.
Some spontaneous projects have also come my way these past couple of weeks. I was tasked to make a sign for some new building sites, so I came up with a couple of options and tweaked them when I was given feedback. While this project was separate from Ulliman Schutte as a company, I was happy to help and offer my InDesign knowledge.
Another spontaneous project was making a graphic of a flange polisher that is being developed, also separate from Ulliman Schutte. This graphic was a quick project, but I think it turned out nice and will be a great addition to the website for the project.

With everything going on and only one week left at Ulliman Schutte, I hope to close out some of my projects in my last days, as well as leave some helpful tips, tricks, notes, and emails to my coworkers about where my projects stand and how they can continue them when I am back at UC.
